Back from my foodie attack & feeling back on track!
IDK what got into me last week, it was like I was having a foodie attack - I wanted everything in site. Glad that's over with.
I feel back on schedule this week, I changed the way I'm tracking. Instead of tracking pts as I eat them I'm now tracking everything in the morning (or even the day before) - planning the entire day ahead of time and also planning specific times to eat at and specific foods each meal (breakfast, mid morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner, dessert), I'm also making a conscience effort to have 1 bottle of water with each of the main meals and 1/2 a bottle with each snack. I also changed my weigh in day from Monday to Friday, I found when tracking on Monday I would start the week out really good, like I wanted to strive to do good but then come Friday I would hit a down fall and use all or most of the extra 35pts. Hence why I think the scale has been standing still. So I'm changing things up and tracking Friday. Hopefully with the change I won't be inclined to overindulge knowing that I still have an entire week infront of me and if I slip up over the weekend I have to wait an entire week to restart my pts. We shall see.
This weekend I think I did really well. I had my brother's B-day dinner Friday night, I had a small meal beforehand seeing the restaurant didn't have an online nutrition meal and just a cup of french onion soup with water at the restaurant and skipped the cake. Then on Saturday I had my cousins' daughters 1st B-day party during the day. I made sure to each a light meal before I went so I wasn't hungry, I also brought a bottle of water with crystal light with me so I still had a taste of something sweet. At the party I had a cup of salad with FF italian dressing (0pts) and 8 of the mini quaker oat cheddar rice cakes (1.5pts) - simply delicious, filling and yet also filled the party social 'snack' void. Later that night Mr. C and I headed to the casino with friends for a 30th B-day party. The original plan was to stay overnight so we could fully enjoy ourselves but we (read I lol) over indulged last month between bar nights, spa, hair, nails, tanning etc etc etc and miscalculated our 'fun' funds so we cancelled the room - in the end it ended up being a good thing because it kept my drinks to a minimum seeing I was the DD driving 1hr back home - I did however enjoy a delicious small piece of cake in the evening (=

I'm cute I tell ya'
Well at least according to the 70yr old man pumping gas next to me at the gas station this evening. Soo I'm pumping gas and this old man walks over to me and says 'I'm a cute little girl', aww he said I was little then proceeds to hand me a twizzler - I had to take it, I mean come on I didn't want to be rude, not to mention it was calling my name. Even strangers are sabotaging my diet, it's like a friggin conspiracy. Seriously I can't make this shit up. Random right? Anyway...
No worries it was wrapped... Thank god I don't like them much because I could have downed the entire thing in one bite and discarded the evidence before the gas was even done pumping, instead I pawned it off on Mr. C when he got home (he'd kill me if he saw I posted this pic, can't wait til he sees his FB I posted it there too LOL - don't mind the horrible cell phone pic but I couldn't not take a picture LOL).
- he's still kicking, I guess it is ok to take candy from strangers. ( ;

Hello?! Is this thing on..
Your brain is like a computer or sponge (or some shit like that) so WTF?! Where is the food overload? A computer gets bogged down/overloaded, crashes etc. Where's my crash?? I have the brain of a morbid obese person, like a fat kid that loves cake, I'm constantly thinking food! WHAT. IS. WRONG. WITH. ME.?? Seriously I've been staring at the clock for the past 3hrs just waiting for the time to pass, just thinking about dinner... yumm d.i.n.n.e.r..... hello issues! THIS is not normal.
I'm not hungry at all seeing I just got done scoffing down a smart one and 2 bottles of water (all while thinking about a bacon cheeseburger and lg shake of course) and yet I'm still thinking about food. BTW ever notice how bacon makes everything taste better? yeah it does! Point taken - something has to be wrong with my wiring,I'm convinced I'm not alone, I know I'm not alone, 1 out of 10 americans are over weight (might wanna check the stats on that I didn't really do any background work but just guessing by the looks of it). Sure some might be genetics or some crap like that but heck I know there's some fatties out there that just have a foodie brain like mine and they can't turn it off & it's so hard when everything calls your name. Tell me you hear them too...'buy me, I'm delicious yumm soo tasty'.... No? Liars. Ok let me paint the stage for you... you're in the grocery store and the candy/chip aisle is approaching meanwhile you came to the store for bland boring celery, salad, skim milk and fat free cottage cheese. Next thing you know you're on autopilot and can't control the bag of doritos (family size of course), assorted party mix, peanut M&M's and soda that you put into the cart of course cashing out and leaving the store forgetting all about the cerlery, salad, skim milk and cottage cheese that reminds you of your ass/thighs that you originally were supposed to get. It's not your fault - you're just wired wrong JUST.LIKE.ME. So I say again WTF?
Now I just wasted $20 on junk food that I can't eat, sure I know what you're thinking you can eat a small portion - yeah but what you aren't thinking about is the autopilot that takes over once you start. One moment it's the bite of the 1st chip the next you're licking the inside liner of the dorito bag trying to soak up the last bit of flavor (don't lie I know you lick the bag). Hence why I now have 2 options 1) lock everything in the trunk where I can't get at it, because who are we kidding if that shit was in the front seat with me it would be done before my drive home but then again I could always pull over?? or 2) throw it out aka put it in the lunch room at work and let your co-workers who are like volchers get fat off of it. Ohh what to do, what to do. Might as well put it in the lunch room, let one of them be the 1 in 10.
Grrrrrrrrrr. Where's my crash?? Why is my brain not shutting down, it's on food overload constantly thinking, streaming food and I'm not hungry. Crash damnit. I love WW but this limiting and portion control thing sucks right now!
vent over.

Men...
Let me first start out by saying Mr. C and I had a wonderful Valentine's Day dinner last night with one of our favorite couples at a quaint little Italian restaurant downtown. It was our first time there but definitely won't be our last - the food was delicious, service was superb and the drinks & dessert were even better!
Buttt getting up this morning for work was pure tourcher!
I was so envious of Mr. C for having the luxury of sleeping in while lucky lil ole' me had to rise and shine bright and early to get my butt to work. Not fun ) =
But as the day goes on I have to admit I'm pleasently surprised how well the day is turning out. Work is relaxing for once and to my surprise Mr. C is at home playing wife. He called me around noon to see how my day was going and I'm sure to receive praise for his good deeds (I've learned most men are like children- you need to give them structure, set boundaries and they need to be praised for their good along with receive a reward of such)... I know he couldn't wait to call me, I could hear it in his voice, the built-up excitement like a little kid. Convo:
Me: hi hunny
Mr. C.: how's work going?
Me: good, busy finishing up a report and .. (cut off by Mr.C)
Mr. C: (talking fast) that's good, so hey the kitchen is all clean, I just got done doing the dishes, picked up the living room and I'm heading out the door to go to the grocery store to get some stuff we need and dinner. How's jambalaya sound - you like that, yeah I'm going to make jambalaya, I'll have dinner all ready for you for when you come home. What time will you be home 4:30? 5:00? Nevermind, you'll be home 4:30, I'm home, I know you're going to leave early. Hey soo I'm going to stop at the video store to get some thing for me - you don't care right?
ahhh ha! There it is ... the praise.. the reward.
Of course I told him to get whatever, not that I would care if he got something anyway but it's just the point if by chance I said 'you know babe we really don't need that and that $$ could be better spent on xyx' my 31yr old husband would have instantly turned into an upset 2yr old throwing a trantrum about how he never gets anything. Mind you at 31 he's still spoiled rotten and gets everything he wants.
Me: Thank you hunny, no I don't mind - get whatever....
Soo what can I say? Should I be 'rewarding' my husband like a child for picking up his own mess.. no.. but hey if it's one less thing I have to do at the end of the day in my book it's well worth it! This was one day I'm happy I was working because heck who are we kidding, if both Mr. C and myself had the day off I would of had to do all those things and Mr. C would of still asked to get his video game - score in my book, I got paid to work and now I get to go home to a nice clean house, cooked meal and nonetheless a happy husband who I'm sure is eager to show me his new game. LOL.

Current Events...
Yesturday was the 'big' reveal - bandages are off &&....... I LOVE THEM!!! (mom loves them too!) Yes, Mom came with me & I think she was just as eager as I was to see how they looked - she had one worry this entire time, keeping them proportionate and as natural looking as possible & I think my Dr. did an amazing job doing just that!
Afterwards we headed to my sisters' for some dinner and playtime with my nephew - my love - She made some really easy veggie quesadillas that were delish! And BONUS, they fit perfectly into my WW diet (which I'd like to proudly add I'm down 10lbs && yes that's counting the added 'boobage' LOL - woot woot ). My nephew is getting bigger and bigger by the day and never fails to amaze me. He got another tooth in (I think that makes 9 or 10 now) - he's just a bundle of joy. Such a happy baby, laughing and giggling all the time not to mention as tickelish as can be. And he took his first step(s) at my cousins super bowl party this past weekend! I can not believe how fast this year is passing - it's time to start planning his 1st Birthday. My little adorable nephew is no longer going to be a 'baby', in only 2 short months he'll be working his way outta the baby stage and into a toddler - walking and talking ... I can't wait to see his personality develop even more. He's such an amazing little man, I just love him to pieces!!
Anyway onto his party, my sister and BIL have an awesome theme picked out - it's Moose and Zee from Noggin/Nick Jr. - nephew is obsessed with it. Completely mesmerized the minute he sees/hears the song(s)
It's so cute! The invites she's making, can't wait to get it and post a pic, they're going to look awesome! His name will be spelt out in punch-out balloon cardstock with 'turning' in a nice script and then a glittery outlined '1' (yes, they passed the seal of appoval LOL) and onto the cake A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! It'll look just like this from a baker out of NY. Sooo CUTE!
Ok sooo back onto me - After my sisters' I headed home and Mr. C was eager to-say-the-least to see what his hard earned money was spent on.... lets get honest - he paid for these bad boys, yeah they were for me but who are we kiddin he's getting something out of this deal too.... needless to say he loves them ( =
Seriously I could not be happier! My only regret is not doing it earlier. On a sucky note I was sooo eager to start zumba this week with my gf's but the Dr. vetoed it. No working out/aerobics for 6 weeks (3/18)... looks like I'm bound to the treadmill, eliptical and stationary bike - BLAH!

Fresh outta the OR
Today was the big day! This morning my MIL picked me up bright and early (6am) and we headed to Temple Medical. Checked in around 6:30 and then I headed for a quick/final pre-op with the nurse by 7am where she took my BP, temp, weight (down 9lbs WOOT WOOT - thank you WW!) and urine test. From there we headed into the OR (around 7:30ish) and within minutes I was out like a light. Next thing I know I'm waking up in recovery, I want to say it was around 10-10:30am and they sent me on my way. Getting dressed was painful, tollerable but painful.
My MIL got me situated at the house, laid out all my pills/pain meds/anti spasms and then wrote everything out for me so I would know exactly what time to take what && then off to bed I went. Ended up taking a little longer cat nap than I anticipated and woke up in a lot of pain (I was 45mins late taking the pain meds) so needless to say sitting up and getting my butt up off the couch took a little more work than I thought it would but 10-15mins later I managed LOL.
Right now I'm feeling great - a little foggy but the pain is almost non-existent .. kinda just feels like pulled muscles ::fingers crossed it continues that way:: although I've heard the 2nd day is the worse and then everything gets better from there - so we shall see. Now it's onto the countdown to Tuesday, can't wait to get the bandages off and see what these badboys look like LOL.
One thing, I'M SOOO BORED!! Now that I'm wide awake I feel like I'm going stir-crazy LOL. I just want to be out doing something. I hate being home alone && daytime TV stinks. Thankfully my mom is coming over in a bit and then we're heading out to see my nephew - just saw him Sunday but I already miss him. I feel like so much changes with him from day to day, I just want to see him everyday so I don't miss anything. I can't imagine what that feeling is going to be like once Mr. C and I have a child of our own ... ahh soon enough, soon enough. (=
