Baby on the big screen!

This past monday was AMAZING to say the least. We had our 1st tri screening (@12 weeks) and got to see Baby C on the big screen. It was so surreal I can't even describe it. Simply AMAZING.

  • How far along? 12 weeks 3 days
  • Total weight gain? acording to the Dr office scale up 2lbs, but I'm still saying 0 because my last appointment was later in the day and I ate right before. (=
  • How big is the baby? about the size of a plum or peach!
  • Maternity clothes? Not needed just yet but I did go shopping for some Monday night, man maternity pants are COMFY!
  • Stretch marks? If they show their face this early on I'm really in for it LOL.
  • Sleep? Good so far. The potty breaks let up a little over the past 2 weeks from 2-3 trips to only 1 whoohoo!
  • Best moment this week? Seeing Baby C on the big screen. So surreal.
  • Movement? Nothing yet but hopefully I'll get lucky and we'll get movement early on  ::fingers crossed::
  • Food cravings? Ice/slushy drinks
  • Labor signs? Bite your tongue, I don't even want to think about labor signs for at least a good 5.5-6months!
  • What I'm looking forward to? Our next appointment in 4 weeks
  • Milestones? Hitting 2nd trimester!!!

Remember me?!

It's been some time. I planned on taking a short break and then life got crazy and now I find myself here. A little over 4 months have passed and a lot has happened! Let's see DH and I had a wonderful, much needed vacation.

But prior to vacation is when the real good news came... June 20th, Father's Day - I woke up that morning with lots of high hopes and built up anticipation. I was 10dpo and kept debating to test or not to test THAT was the question. The month before was a huge let down - I swore I had every phantom symptom in the book, nauseous, fatigue, crampy, mood swings, dizziness, you name it I felt it. And then test time came. Of course I had to get a digital {stupid} (btw I have a funny story about purchasing the test but I'll save that for another post - it's defineitly one for the records) went home, tested, BFN. It was like a throat punch. Seeing the words NOT pregnant made my heart sink low in my chest. I was so sure I was pregnant but decided to wait until I was late to test again. Sure enough AF showed up right on time, that bitch. UGH. So onto the next month we went.

This month confused me, my body was off. I had the worst O pain I've ever had, so severe DH and I only BD'd 1 day during our window of opportunity. O passed and it was time to count down to 10dpo, the days dragged on by. I felt fine, nothing out of the ordinary. I was almost positive we missed our window and we would have to wait to try again the following month. But 10dpo snuck upon us and I found myself pondering... wait until I'm late or test and possibly be miserable all day, Father's Day? As I laid in bed early that morning I mentally prepared myself for the BFN. I kept just telling myself we're still early in the game, our timing was off - basically every excuse possible to prepare myself for the let down. But then I still had a very small part of me that just thought THIS would be perfect, I'm 10dpo and it's Father's Day. I decided to test. Within what seemed like immediately the digital screen read the most perfect word I have ever seen in my entire life PREGNANT. I just kept staring at the test.. waiting a couple minutes, I was in complete disbelief. I ran into the bedroom as fast as I could and said "Happy Father's Day Daddy" to DH - waking him up out of a dead sleep. Still waking up, a little shell shocked DH asked what I was talking about, he's not a daddy yet blah blah blah (I kept telling him how bad our timing was and we were both prepared to move onto next month). I immediately shoved the test in his face. To say we're both overjoyed would be an understatement, we are head over heels thrilled beyond belief & can not wait for our little bundle of joy! EDD 2/28/2011

So here I am today, 11weeks on the dot. Looking back and wondering WHERE DID ALL THOSE WEEKS GO? The past 4 months passed by fast and are slowing turning into a blur. So I need to get my butt in gear because before I know it the months are going to turn into years and these are memories I need to capture so our story is forever remembered.
