W. T. F. Wednesday.... on a Tuesday

It's just THAT good of a week that I feel the need to bump WTF Wednesday to a Tuesday.

Seriously the rain needs to stop... it's not even a want it's a need.  I don't know how much more I can take of this. Our basement is flooding yet again (water has been coming in since yesturday morning) and it's getting a little ridiculous, it hasn't stopped and today's forcast is calling for an additional 8inches. Friggin great! & it's supposed to continue raining until tomorrow afternoon adding an additional 3inches. Seriously, why is it when I need the weatherman to be wrong they're right?!  Hello this winter when you forcasted 12+inches of snow.. I was excited... we got maybe 2-3. Where's THAT forcast for the rain?! grrrr.

Top 2 Tuesday ~ Random Facts About Yourself

~ Random Facts About Yourself ~

1. I can live on soup! I absolutely love it and would perfer eating it rather than most foods. My favorites are french onion and broccoli cheddar. My least favorite food to eat is red meat... while Mr. C is a carnivore and would live in red meat if I let him, the site of it makes me cringe.

2. I LOVE to drive and 99% of the time I drive over DH. His driving gives me anxiety... it's comparable to a 90yr old behind the wheel. Slow. & way overly cautious. I can't take it, his 1% comes in on the rare occurance I had too much to drink or I imagine if I have a life threatening injury and need to get to the Dr./hospital of which case I'm probably better off calling an ambulance to get me there before I keel over. HA!

Weekend Wrap Up

Sorry I've been MIA for the past 5 days, I've been crazy busy between work, work and ohh work - blah!

Friday night after a long day of work (13 freakin hrs!) Mr. C and I cuddled up on the couch with some yummy sushi and rotted our brains with junk tv - one of our favorite ways to end the day lol.

Saturday I was up bright and early, I had to head into the office for a couple hours, then I had a 9am hair appointment - omg I needed it sooo bad! Seriously WTF starts to get gray hair at 25?!? ME that's who, just my luck, ridiculous! From the salon I headed to the restaurant to work the remainder of the day with Mr. C, yes we are workaholics. Thankfully seeing we're in Lent and everyone mostly eats fish on Friday it was a nice slow relaxing Saturday. Afterwards Mr. C and I headed to hang out with our friends The K's where we ate wayyyy to much pizza, drank a little to much wine (yes we drink wine with our pizza because we like to keep it classy like that), chatted up a storm - I honestly don't know what happens when the 4 of us GTG but we're all like non-stop chatter boxes and can't shut up lol and we watched one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time - Sex Drive. IDK why Mr. C and I haven't seen it before Saturday night but it was hysterical - definitely add it to your list if you haven't seen it yet!

Sunday was another bright and early - up and at em' day. I headed into the office for a couple hours, while Mr. C slept in (jealous), then we headed to a late bruch with the IL's for Palm Sunday. We're crappy Catholics and didn't make it to church ::hangs head:: by the time I got back home from work and Mr. C got back home (he had a hair appointment) it was 11am and we had to run and get ready and then drive to brunch for a 1pm seating which was 45mins away and the last mass was at 12pm. Brunch was fabulous, we went to one of my favorite places, Water's Edge in Westbrook, CT so yummy. & MIL had me cracking up, she was telling me about her plans for our baby shower.  hmmm can we work on getting pregnant 1st?!? Thanks! LOL. Seriously, my IL's (& my family) are so excited for us to start TTC it's not even funny. But my MIL is a little over the top excited, she already has everything picked out for when we do get preggers.... right down to the food HA! No complaints from me though, it'll be at my favorite place with my favorite food (also where my mom and sister hosted my bridal shower), it's so weird how things have changed between me and my IL's since Mr. C and I got married. Before we were engaged everything was great, then the ring came and it was like who are these people?!?! Complete TOURCHER! Seriously, they put me through the ringer... but i'll spear you the details for a different post. Now since we've been married things have slowly gotten back to where they were and right now I can honestly say things are pretty great... borderline, dare I say perfect!?

After brunch Mr. C and I headed to Zales where we dropped off our rings so they could get repolished and I had to get my wedding bands resoldered together, one of the attachments broke. From there it was off to my moms for some dessert and time with my family. FAVORITE time of my entire weekend because I got to see my nephew!
 :: LOVE ::
I can not believe this coming Saturday he will be turning 1, seriously where did this  year go?!  He's getting so big, yesturday my sister and BIL took him for his 1st haircut, he's such the little man now, so handsome! He no longer looks like a baby he's definitely in the toddler stage and walking like a champ. From there it was back home to crash for the night... I ended up passing out the minute I got home 8pm!

Happy Monday everyone!

W. T. F. Wednesday....

We made it, we're 1/2 way thru the week! Time for our WTF moments...

What gives? For the past 3 nights I've woken up each morning with the rememberance of a different vague dream. I never dream - why now? Is there some significance to them? & it's weird to, I vagually remember the dream when I first wake up but within 1 hr I can't remember the details or the dream at all. I don't have the slightest notion what they were about, all I remember is that I woke with the vague memory of it. They're not nightmares or anything tragic. I wake up with this sense of peace and calming... like I just had a beautiful dream, a beautiful moment that's now held captive somewhere within my brain. I just wish I could remember.

What's your WTF moment(s)?

Top 2 Tuesday ~ Things you can't live without

I'm also going to take the lighter side of the topic besides god, love, family, friends etc. The top 2 things I can't live without are:

1. Makeup! I never leave the house without at least a little mineral powder and lip gloss.

2. The internet! Seriously my world might as well just end if the internet ever permanently crashes. IDK what I'd do.... no email, no blogging, no chat forums - unthinkable.

Weekend Wrap Up

This past weekend was B-E-A-UTIFUL! Absolutely gorgeous out, I'm so sad the weather isn't going to last. this week it's supposed to rain until wed. ::fingers crossed:: I hope this upcoming weekend is gorgeous again!

Saturday I started out doing my favorite thing... shopping!
I had a 30% off coupon to Old Navy so I figured before work I would stop in and see if anything caught my eye.. I normally don't find much just the usual flip flops and solid tanks but figured why not. Ohh boy I was wrong I went into a shopping frenzy and ended up buying soooo much! I've never bought or even found this much stuff at ON before that I actually liked. Needless to say 75% of my spring/summer/cruise shopping is complete! && best part I saved, ready for this... ::drum roll::  $214 (told ya I went on a shopping frenzy ha!). So here are some of the items I picked up, I'm a little bummed the online site doesn't have a lot of the items I bought so I could show you, the only items I could find are their typical plain tanks, shorts etc - I couldn't find the really cute items like the long jumper, a bunch of shirts, shorts, etc that I purchased but here are some:

I never found shoes before that I liked (other than their flip flops) but I ended up finding not 1 but 2  - the wedges above and the flats below, both are really comfy! & personally I think the wedges look better in person.

&& here's what I'm wearing today (also from ON) - I had to take a pic because I thought the flats are really cute! & well I figured I'll show you the cropped cami and tank I'm also wearing (as I don't think the online pics do them justice) at least I don't think so.

The rest of the day I spent working and then just relaxed at night.

On Sunday Mr. C and I decided to tackle another painting project. We ended up painting our hallway and part of our family/living room. (pics to come) This time we choose a rich brown color. I LOVE it! There's only 1 minor part I'm not thrilled it's where the brown from the living room meets with the tangerine from the kitchen - it just doesn't look right directly side by side but we came up with a solution. We're going to frame out the kitchen/living room archway like the doors are and paint it white so it has a nice clean border and the space is seperated nicely.  Afterwards we headed over to hooters for some wings and sangria (yummm) and enjoyed lunch on their patio and then back home to relax and watch The 4th Kind. - lets just say it was interesting.

Happy Monday ~ hope everyone has a great week!!

Favorite Fridays

I just started following a new blog - A Girl in Pearls & A boy with Toys head over and check it out, I think you'll love it too! Don't forget to link up and join favorite fridays too (=

This weeks favorite friday is favorite musical group.

hmmm lets see all time favorite I would have to say is Pink Floyd.

Sure they look grundgy, a little dirty and in need of a shower but lets remember we're taking it back to the 60's and 70's, their music careers peaked the minute their drug use peaked. I can almost guarantee at least 1 of them if not all of them are either high, tripping, or in a heroin spat when the above pic was taken - but needless to say majority of their well known songs have the drugs to thank for their making, it's like the 2 went hand in hand. The more they did, the better their music career did.
